Anna Mullek; MAS; M.S., CCC-SLP
Anna has had a lifelong passion for serving disabilities. Her autistic sister, Meg, was the inspiration for seeking a career with adolescents and young adults. After seeing the limited opportunities available for Meg after high school, Anna decided to research post-secondary programs and completed a clinical placement at adult day healthcare centers while in graduate school. Anna loved her clients and mentor, Rennee, so much that she decided to continue serving her people at adult day health care and life skills centers in the Charleston area! Anna went on to open Thrive Speech Therapy, LLC. Serving the disability community is truly Anna's vocation.

Anna attended Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame. She received a Master of Science in speech language pathology and a Master of Autism Studies. Anna loves a continuing education unit, so she has completed several special trainings and certifications to equip her with the knowledge needed to serve multiply disabled adults with complex communication needs. Anna is an LSVT LOUD and PEERS certified provider. Anna has also taken several courses on Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) and high-tech augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
Katie Burns, M.S., CCC-SLP
Originally from Kansas City, Katie earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas (rock chalk!) and her Master of Science in speech language pathology from Rockhurst University. From a young age, Katie loved supporting individuals with disabilities and being actively involved in inclusive programs and advocacy efforts.
Katie’s mission is to empower individuals to communicate in their own way. Whether it’s through speech, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), or other personalized strategies, she believes everyone deserves the opportunity to express themselves and connect with others.
